High Index Polyisocyanurate Foam Core (PIR)
Category: B-s1,d0 (EN 13501-1)
It is self-extinguishing, does not contribute to fire spread, is difficult to ignite, produces little to no smoke, and does not produce flaming droplets or particles during combustion.
Density: 38 to 42 kg/m³
Its mechanical strength makes it ideal for structural building materials, as it can withstand external pressures and building loads. Despite its high density, it remains lightweight, which facilitates panel installation.
Thermal conductivity (λ): 0.021 to 0.023 W/mK
Its low thermal conductivity provides excellent thermal insulation, reducing heat loss and contributing to the energy efficiency of buildings.
Closed-cell structure: 95%
The high proportion of closed cells ensures low moisture absorption and enhanced resistance to corrosion and wear, making it ideal for humid environments or areas exposed to severe weather conditions.
Sound insulation: Due to its density, it also offers good acoustic insulation performance.
Durability: Service life of 30 years
Environmental friendliness: CFC and HCFC free
It does not contain substances hazardous to health and is manufactured using materials that comply with environmental standards.
Available Options
Available coatings and colours
Simple Polyester
Nominal coating thickness: 25 μm ± 5 μm
It is the most widely used and cost-effective coating option for metal facings. It is suitable for both exterior and interior surfaces and is typically used in building applications in inland areas under normal environmental conditions, i.e. non-corrosive atmospheres with low levels of air pollution. It provides adequate protection for outdoor exposure conditions (RC3) and long-term aesthetic performance.
Durable PVC Plastisol
Nominal coating thickness: 200 μm
It stands out for its exceptional durability and is ideal for demanding environments. It offers high wear resistance and long-term colour retention, even after prolonged exposure to UV radiation and adverse weather conditions. It provides adequate protection for outdoor exposure conditions (RC5) and long-term aesthetic performance.
High Hygiene PVC
Nominal coating thickness: 120 μm
It is classified as a food-safe coating, offering excellent antibacterial protection. It is suitable for indoor applications requiring high hygiene standards, making it ideal for surfaces that may come into contact with food.
High Performance PVDF
Nominal coating thickness: 50 μm
It is ideal for high-specification architectural projects where aesthetics are of primary importance. It offers high wear resistance and long-term colour retention, even after prolonged exposure to UV radiation and adverse weather conditions. It provides adequate protection for outdoor exposure conditions (RC4) and long-term aesthetic performance.

Fixing / fastening options
They are fixed to the supporting structure using the standard method of visible fixing.
Designed for roofs with a minimum slope of 10%.
For roofs with a greater slope, installation in the direction of the slope is recommended. In this case, the panels must have right-hand or left-hand side lap (overlap), depending on project specifications, with an overlap length from 50 mm to 250 mm.
The panels are supplied without overlap. The removal of the inner sheet section and the High Index PIR foam core is carried out on site.
The panel joint design, combined with sealing materials, helps achieve:
- Minimisation of thermal bridges
- Prevention of air and moisture ingress
- Reduced installation time
- Limited need for additional accessories
