Connection / fixing options
- Pile driving
Piles are installed on site according to the system layout.
Driving is carried out to the specified depth, adjusted to suit project requirements.
The piles are made of 3 mm-thick galvanised steel and are installed using specialised mechanical equipment.
Pile orientation must strictly follow the installation drawings.
- Frame assembly (superstructure)
Connect the upright (C90x48x18x2) to the first pile.
Fit the inclined beam (C80x40x15x2) to the upright and the second pile, at the required tilt angle of the PV modules.
Install the brace (U50x20x2) to complete the frame.
All connections are made with M10 clamping bolts, while slotted holes allow alignment tolerances.
For fixing the inclined beam to the piles, an additional connection angle is used to increase stability.
- Installing cross bracing
Install cross bracing (L45x45x2) at the ends of the table and every three or four pile spans.
Cross bracing reduces structural vibration from wind pressure or seismic actions.
- Installing horizontal purlins
Fix the horizontal purlins (C40x40x10x2) perpendicular to the inclined beam.
Purlin length is adjusted to match the system design.
The purlin cantilever at the start and end of the table must not exceed 60 cm.
Purlins are joined using an external splice piece and self-drilling screws.
Holes for connecting to the inclined beam (Ø10) are drilled on site for accurate matching.
- Installing PV panels
Panels are installed on the horizontal purlins along the length of the table, typically in portrait orientation, usually in a double row.
Each panel bears on two horizontal purlins.
Fixing is carried out with aluminium clamps, according to the panel dimensions and the system layout.
